If you are part of Dawn's piano studio, you can see her policies here.
I will distribute an invoice to each family on the first of each month for the previous month's lessons and any materials that were distributed. Payment is due 15 days after the invoice date via cash, check, or credit card. Automatic payments will also be available for those who are interested. Automatic payments will be required after 3 late payments.
For those under the umbrella of Dawn's Piano, all payment will be handled through Dawn, in accordance with Dawn's Piano's policies.
Missed Lessons and Make Ups
I would prefer 1 week's notice if a lessons must be missed, but I require at least 24 hours notice, or the lessons will be billed on the next invoice, sickness and emergencies excepted. I am happy to accept notice via call, text, email, or through the Student Portal. As my schedule is quite full, I am only able to accommodate make-up lessons in place of other cancelations, or in any designated make-up time slots designated on the Studio Calendar. Priority will be given to make-ups due to teacher absence.
If I must miss a lesson, for any reason, I will notify you via text and email. I will always do my best to make up any unscheduled absences on my part, as it is possible.
Discontinuation of Lessons
Enrollment typically lasts the length of the school year (August-May) with separate enrollment for the summer months (although I encourage everyone to maintain year-round lessons). My hope is that every student would finish the year for which they are enrolled, but I understand that sometimes things come up. I do require 1 month’s paid notice if lessons are to be discontinued before the end of the enrollment year, and I would hope to continue lessons for that month so that we can wrap things up positively.
