Children can begin lessons with me starting at age 3, but it is never too late! (Learn more about preschool lessons here.)
I recommend 45 minute lessons for most students, but 30 and 60 minute lessons are also available.

Here's a bit of what to expect in piano lessons with me:
TEchnique
An easy, relaxed technique is the foundation of good piano playing and will allow students to play with beautiful tone and expression. Each lesson begins with a warm-up and exercises to build good piano technique.
Repertoire
In addition to standard classical repertoire, students will learn a variety of other styles including pop, lyrical, jazz, and more. Students will have the opportunity to learn music they love and want to play!
Theory
Students will be learning a lot of new concepts from note reading to rhythm to musical terms and symbols. In addition to experiencing these things in their repertoire, students will get a variety of practice and review through games and activities.
Creativity
From their very first lesson, I have students experimenting and creating their own music at the piano. Every year we'll also do a studio-wide composition project.
Performance Opportunties
We will have regular studio recitals and other performance opportunities. Students will also have the opportunity to prepare for exams and festivals through the Royal Conservatory of Music, the California Associate of Professional Music Teachers, and the Music Teacher's National Association.
